Do this in order
- 1
Buy and download now
Checkout on Gumroad takes minutes. Save the ZIP and open the Host Guide on a phone or tablet while you print.
- 2
Print the Player Pack first
Print at 100% on US Letter. Start the Player Pack — you can read setup details from the Host Guide on screen.
- 3
Pack envelopes in order
Follow the Host Guide packing map. Six or seven envelopes is enough — fold sheets if you are short.
- 4
Hand over START and set a gentle timer
Gather players, phones away, 45–60 minute window. Keep hint cards nearby but only offer when asked.
Avoid
- Do not let players see the Host Guide or solution pages
- Skip colour if you are rushed — puzzles stay solvable in grayscale
- Do not over-explain rules — the START packet opens the story
When to download
Either flagship case works for a two-hour window. The Midnight Museum Heist fits any season; The Haunted Library Mystery adds a gentle Halloween tone without horror.
Quick answers
Can I really set up in under 15 minutes?
Yes. Allow 10–15 minutes to print and pack envelopes. Many hosts finish faster on a second case because they know the flow.
What if my printer is slow?
Print the START packet and first two clue envelopes first. Begin play while later pages finish printing if an adult can slip packets out between puzzles.
Which case is fastest for a mixed-age group?
Both flagship cases target ages 9–13. Younger siblings can join with an adult reader. For ages 7–10, choose the mini case The Missing Witch's Spellbook.
